It’s funny sometimes how we want to stop time and hold onto moments forever, and without the passing of time, we don’t reach the most significant moments of our lives.
Karen and Felicia had met at a friends pride barbeque a few years ago and were with other people at the time, but they hit it off right away and were friends for a while until the timing was perfect.
Their wedding was nothing shy of sparkle and took place at “The Permanent” in Vancouver, BC. They chose their venue first before anything since it was important to them to find a place that allowed them to host their wedding past midnight. Not only was “The Permanent” an excellent venue but it was perfect because on the day Felicia and Karen went back to drop off the deposit, Karen proposed back to Felicia at the venue (our hearts are melting over and over again).
The wedding planning process was made seamless with the help of their day-of-coordinator, Jennifer Ungaro. They incorporated colour such as Dusty Blue, Mustard Yellow, and Silver with all white and clear accents into their wedding.
“Our favourite parts of our wedding day was seeing each other for the first time when I was walking down the aisle towards her.”
What makes this wedding even more precious is the way Karen felt and looked in her wedding gown! The twirling and smiles we saw in her photos in her Hayley Paige, ‘Lumi’ gown left us swooning. The Lumi is a Blue Moon stelliferous tulle bridal ball gown with a V-neck bodice with dream catcher sleeves, open keyhole back, full tulle skirt and sprinkled star embellishment. (You are not going to find this dress just anywhere!)
“The fit. I work as a pattern drafter and fit technician so having a dress that was made with high-quality fit in mind was super important. The dress was perfection. I have worked making wedding dresses before, and have been looking at wedding dress forever so I never thought I could find one that would have everything I wanted and feel like the one. But this dress was everything.”
